AI Tutor

The STEaiM CT AI Tutor is being developed to support pre-service STEM teachers in understanding and teaching computational thinking throughout the Study–Plan–Teach–Reflect–Report cycle. It is based on the Mistral large language model.

The AI Tutor is created by the team at the JKU COOL Lab of Johannes Kepler University in Linz. The first prototype was unveiled at the online project meeting in January 2026, and the current version was presented to the consortium at the online progress meeting in June 2026. The team at the University of Cantabria leads the work package on implementation of the courses and the AI Tutor.

AI Tutor is provided for educational and research purposes only. While we aim for helpful and high-quality responses, the system may produce errors, omissions, or biased content. Users remain fully responsible for how they use the information, including any decisions or actions taken based on AI Tutor outputs. The content generated by AI Tutor does not constitute professional advice (including legal, medical, financial, or psychological advice) and should not be relied upon as such.
